Coach Schmidt joined the Charlotte Latin girls’ lacrosse program in Spring 2026, bringing a strong background as a player and emerging coach. She began playing lacrosse at age five and was a four-year varsity starter at nationally ranked Glenelg Country School in Howard County, Maryland, earning Second Team All-County honors in 2019 and recognition on the school’s All-Decade Team (2010–2020). She played collegiately at San Diego State University before transferring to Roanoke College, where she was a two-time team captain and a three-time First Team All-ODAC and All-Region selection, as well as a two-time First Team All-State honoree in Virginia. Coach Schmidt helped lead Roanoke to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 run in 2024, and was part of the winningest team in program history. She ranks seventh all-time in caused turnovers at Roanoke. Coach Schmidt holds a Bachelor of Science from Roanoke College, works as a third-grade teacher at Dilworth Elementary, and is connected to the Charlotte Latin community through her cousin, Tim Kelly.
