2026 Season
Season officially begins February 9
2024 Season Summary
By Coach Williams
Our word for the season was Everyth1ing. It represented what we needed to hold true while we worked towards the goal of winning another State Championship. Everything mattered, no matter how small of a detail. The goal of winning 4 in a row for this senior class was accomplished. We played and supported each other as a team. When one aspect of our game was struggling, another thrived. It was a true testament to what we could accomplish if everyone was all-in. We are proud of the legacy that this senior class has built and proud of our younger players who are ready to step up to the challenge of continuing their legacy. This was a special season.
2023 Season Summary
The 2023 Season was better than we ever expected. The pressure to continue to win a championship was heavy on the shoulders of this team. Our words of focus this year were composure, tenacity, and integrity. This team faced the season with all three in mind. We implemented a new offense that generated more than 375 goals by 14 different players and, even more impressively, more than 200 assists by 14 different players. We had 150 saves and were undefeated in the CISAA and the NCISAA. We were led by great seniors who always put the team FIRST. This team beat Charlotte Catholic for the first time in program history and was dominant in our championship game vs Providence Day. This team was kind, funny and supportive. They were extremely coachable and just a joy to be around. Click

2022 Season Summary
18-4 was not only the winning score of theÂ
state championship game but also our season record. This year's team had the goal of defending their state championship from the previous two years. This group of seniors have won the state championship every year in high school. The only year they missed was the 2020 Covid year. This team faced the hardest strength of schedule that we have ever had with losses to only one North Carolina team and three out of state teams. We also had a signature win against the NCHSAA Champion - Cardinal Gibbons. When they talk about a team being ALL IN, I would say that this defined this group of athletes. They were together from the beginning and that closeness culminated in that State Championship game. We had 13 players who scored more than 10 goals this season with 7 players scoring more than 20. We had a 77% shot percentage with 340 goals this season. We could not only score, we could also defend. We had the highest caused-turnover stat that we have ever had. Our draw team was highly successful with a 68% draw control percentage. Our goalies had a 62% save percentage. These numbers are spectacular but what made this season special was how these players treated each other. There was love, respect, laughter, and kindness on the field. They worked hard for each other. It was always about the team. We will miss our seniors, but they have laid a foundation of success that will continue throughout this program for years to come.
2021 Season Summary
This season was about committing to a goal of winning the state championship and working together to get there. This team was a sisterhood. They trusted in each other and bought into our goals for success. With all the distractions surrounding our players and missing last year's season, we were able to stay focused and stay together. It was very special.
2020 Season Summary
The spring athletic season came to an abrupt end on Thursday, March 12, 2020, when the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association announced that all athletics events were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The impact of that decision on our spring student-athletes was top of mind for all involved and the athletic department, coaches, booster club, and parents worked together to keep our Hawks engaged and connected. Our Latin athletes ended their seasons in an unprecedented and unexpected way, but with a renewed appreciation for their sport, their teammates, and the many benefits of participating in Charlotte Latin Athletics.
