2024 Season Summary

This was such an exciting season for many reasons. With 17 freshmen, five sophomores and one junior it had its challenges. Right from the start, the boys worked hard during practice always giving 100% learning new tactics and formations and taking it all in. When it came to game time, they were all business showing great creativity and discipline, scoring 38 goals and only conceding 6. They played the whole season without losing a single game showing great spirit and character. What a magical season!
2023Â Season Summary
This was a rebuilding year for the JV Boys' Soccer team after losing 9 players from last year's roster. With only 2 juniors and 5 sophomores this team was made up of mostly freshmen. We had a lot of work to do on the practice field. Early on we had a few setbacks with injuries and trying to find someone to go in goal as we did not have a true keeper on the roster. Stuart Christhilf and Charlie Sidman stepped up and volunteered to help out in goal, and as the season progressed Stuart became a standout with some amazing performances - at times keeping us in the games by himself. As the season moved on, the team started to come together playing some great soccer with remarkable discipline and chemistry. It was a joy to watch how much this team accomplished throughout this season.
2022Â Season Summary
What a fantastic season we had this year with this group of young men. Going into this season was a challenge having such a young team consisting of 13 freshman, seven sophomores and only two juniors. Learning new formations and systems of plays, the boys worked hard in practice sessions and embraced all the changes. On the field, the boys displayed such a dynamic style of play with lots of creativity and determination, pushing the boys to a great season with only one loss. We are very proud of this team. What a great group of young men and we enjoyed watching them develop both their skill and enthusiasm for the game.
2021 Season Summary
What a great surprise we had this season with the JV boys soccer team! The boys were very dedicated and worked extremely hard in practice sessions this season, giving 100% every time. The team developed a great understanding and chemistry together, creating a strong bond on and off the field. The team displayed great qualities and discipline that showed throughout the season. The boys played some outstanding soccer showing skill, resilience and determination – they were very entertaining to watch once again proving that soccer can be a beautiful game. The team only lost one conference game this season, and I could not be any prouder of this group of young men this season for the commitment and dedication that they have shown to each other and to the JV boys' soccer team.
2020 Season Summary
From Coach Barthram: "The boys were very excited to get this soccer season started with all that's been going on around them. The team seemed to be extra motivated and make the most of every practice session available to them, enjoying every one. As a team, we had to overcome so many different obstacles this season and the boys embraced every challenge that came their way. The boys picked camaraderie as their motto this season and ran with it, with our captains leading every step of the way.
The team showed great discipline and character through the season playing some great soccer at times. We challenged the boys even more this season playing many different formations and the team showed lots of determination and dedication to understand and play all of them to the best of their abilities. Overall, this season was a complete success: The boys worked very hard and seemed to have a lot of fun and we had plenty of camaraderie."
