2025 Season Summary

Our goal for this JV Lacrosse season was to prepare our players for the expectations set by our varsity program. The objective was not only to expose the boys to terminology and tactics they would see at the higher level, but to instill the attitude and effort they would need to be successful. This was exemplified by sophomore goalie, Dash Edwards. Dash stepped into a new role as the team's goalie and excelled as a leader by absorbing coaching whenever possible. With nearly half the team swinging between JV and Varsity this season, the future is bright for the boys’ lacrosse program at Latin.

2024 Season Summary

The 2024 Boys’ JV Lacrosse season was one that highlighted growth and effort. Each game's goal was simple: win the ground ball battle. Led by multiple swing-players, the tone was set to outwork our opponents each quarter. The program is in good hands as our veteran players look to carry this mindset to varsity, while returning players will continue to push and welcome in a new set of middle schoolers next season.

2023 Season Summary
The JV boys lacrosse team had an undefeated season, going 7-0 with key wins over Marvin Ridge, Charlotte Christian, and Providence Day. The successful season was made possible through hard work, high energy, and a true sense of team over self. A core group led by Burke Denny, Carson Clutter, and Rollins Elliot, helped set the tone for a promising future for the lacrosse program here at Charlotte Latin. 

2022 Season Summary
The 2022 JV Lacrosse season was one marked by growth. Led by first-year goalie, Landon Lashley, the boys were asked to play positions they have never played before. This resulted in a better understanding of the overall game. With our limited roster size it would be understandable for the team to waiver late in games, especially at the end of the season. However, the boys bonded over the challenge and continued to out-work opponents. We are extremely proud of their development as players and as a team.

2021 Season Summary
A season defined by improvement, this group of young men tackled every obstacle with enthusiasm and a never-give-up attitude. What's important to remember is that JV lacrosse is not about the wins and losses, but growing as a lacrosse player. While our record did not end up being what we wanted, every member of the JV Hawks can be proud to say that they improved their stick skills and became a better lacrosse player over the course of the season.

2020 Season Summary
The spring athletic season came to an abrupt end on Thursday, March 12, 2020, when the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association announced that all athletics events were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The impact of that decision on our spring student-athletes was top of mind for all involved and the athletic department, coaches, booster club, and parents worked together to keep our Hawks engaged and connected. Our Latin athletes ended their seasons in an unprecedented and unexpected way, but with a renewed appreciation for their sport, their teammates, and the many benefits of participating in Charlotte Latin Athletics.
