Coach Drury joined the Charlotte Latin tennis program in the spring of 2020 as the head coach of the JV boys’ team, and later added the girls’ JV team to his responsibilities. His previous coaching experience includes four years working with middle school, JV and varsity players at Charlotte Christian School, teaching lessons and camps at Olde Providence Racquet Club, and volunteering to work with Latin Hall of Fame inductee Pender Murphy to offer tennis instruction to children at Sedgefield Elementary who maintained satisfactory academic work. Coach Drury graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in psychology and earned a master’s degree in health administration from UNC Chapel Hill. He has more than 20 years of experience as a project manager with Carolinas Healthcare System.
