2023 - 2024 Season Summary

The varsity winter dance team received a great spark of effort, enthusiasm and willingness to learn from freshmen Emma Bearden and Ava Khouri. Five dancers earned All-Conference recognition, including seniors Olivia Morgan and Lydia McNichols, along with juniors Ashley Burbank, Maya Belton and Cordelia Kim. We are incredibly proud that Cordelia was named the CISAA Conference Dancer of the Year!
2022 - 2023 Season Summary
This year, the Dance Team opened up tryouts for new and interested dancers to join the team in the winter season for the very first time. We were pleased to welcome two freshmen,
Sloan Ellison and
Avery Youse, who turned out to be lovely, talented additions to the team. The team performed at the varsity girls' and boys' basketball games, and really enjoyed the return to the full Winter Sports Showcase and a performance before the wrestling team's senior night competition. See you next fall!

2021 - 2022 Season Summary
The Charlotte Latin Winter Dance Team supports the CLS varsity girls' and boys' basketball programs throughout the winter season, and is proud to perform as part of the varsity wrestling team's senior recognition celebration during the annual Winter Sports Showcase. In the 2021-2022 school year, the winter dance team was thrilled to return to a competition, the Carolinas State Championships held in Raleigh, NC. Weather thwarted the originally scheduled weekend event, but after a week's postponement, the Hawks had a successful performance.
