2026 Season
Season officially begins February 9
2025 Season Summary
By Coach Searles
Culture always wins. That was the phrase that started the season. We set out to emphasize our team culture, the chemistry between all players, and the strength that comes from working through hardship and setbacks together. The 2025 season created a lot of memories on and off the field, some exciting finishes, comeback wins, great individual performances, and an intense battle in the 2025 NCISAA Final. While we can summarize the season as a success from a statistical, recognition and record stand point, we will always measure the success of our 2025 season from the bond that our players and coaches shared. From the 30-degree rainy practice on day one, to the double overtime battle with PD on Patten to finish the season, we always will look back on 2025 as the season that reset the standard of what it means to be part of the Charlotte Latin Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team. Overall Season Record: 20-3 1st in CISAA Conference / NCISAA State Runner-Up
2024 Season Summary
By Coach Searles
Every season is tough, every season has its ups and downs, and its challenges. Since day 1 of the season we spoke about being Unbreakable. We wanted to prove that no matter what happened, whatever opponent we played, or obstacle we faced, we would be unbreakable through it. We came together through a tough schedule, one of the tougher one's we've faced in some time, and despite coming up just short in the state championship final, we proved that Charlotte Latin Soccer is unbreakable. We are very proud of what we did as a team and the 20-3 record we achieved! We are excited about the future of this program and we will always remember this season!
2023 Season Summary
One Team. That was the theme going into the 2023 state final. It was the perfect description of what this season came to become. Building on the success of years prior, the difference this year was that the Varsity Girls’ Soccer team was One Team and played for each other and for Charlotte Latin. After a tremendous season, the Hawks accomplished what some thought couldn't be done: Defeating the third-ranked team in the country by winning the NCISAA state title 2-1. Leaning on our experienced leaders in our senior and junior classes, it gave us the confidence and ability to bring along our sophomore and freshmen players to meet the standard the team set early in the season. This team never dropped their standard, then went beyond what was asked of them to meet the standard each day. It was a tremendous season, ending in a fantastic way! Congratulations Hawks! Click

2022 Season Summary
Our goal is always to win the state championship. What a season!!! I had an incredible group of girls (26 of them) for my last season. The culture was as good as it has ever been. They loved being together, and they competed like no other!!! We were conference champions in easily the best conference in the state. We lost a heartbreaker by penalty kicks in theÂ
NCISAA championship game, but I was very proud of our team's performance. Our opponent, Providence Day, was very good and it was a VERY worthy championship game!!! The coaches and players loved practice, games, and just being together. It will be a season I will never forget.
2021 Season Summary
We had an incredible season with our only losses coming to top-ranked Providence Day in competitive matches that were decided toward the end of play. This team was one of the closest ever. They loved being together and supported one another through some tough injuries and other obstacles. Our goal is always to win states and we very nearly did it!! I have these girls and this team!
2020 Season Summary
The spring athletic season came to an abrupt end on Thursday, March 12, 2020, when the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association announced that all athletics events were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The impact of that decision on our spring student-athletes was top of mind for all involved and the athletic department, coaches, booster club, and parents worked together to keep our Hawks engaged and connected. Our Latin athletes ended their seasons in an unprecedented and unexpected way, but with a renewed appreciation for their sport, their teammates, and the many benefits of participating in Charlotte Latin Athletics.
