The varsity boys' cross country team defended its CISAA Title, while the girls' varsity team claimed second place in the conference championship meet held October 14, 2025 at McAlpine Park. Twenty-nine boys and twenty one girls competed for the Hawks, but the team score is determined by adding the place earned by the fastest five runners. Charlotte Latin's boys' score was an impressive 33, comprised of the finishes ofÂ
Erik Anglemyer (2nd),Â
Henry Anglemyer (5th),
Charles Guggenheimer (6th),Â
Webb Kiser (9th), and
Sam Deterding (11th). The varsity girls' cross country team placed second with a score of 69 comprised of strong performances by
Addie Rhodes (9th),
Amelia Downey (11th),
Mara Sniffen (12th),
Chloe Oh (17th), and
Caroline Staffieri (20th). The girls' program has a long history of top 3 finishes, including it's most recent championship win in 2022. In all, the girls' team had five personal best times and the boys' team had seven. Nine Hawks earned All-Conference honors for placing in the top 14 of their division. The varsity runners with the top ten times this season will represent the Hawks at the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISAA) Championship meet on Friday, October 24th at McAlpine Park. Seven runners will compete (three are taken as alternates in case of illness or injury), and the top five finishes will comprise the team score. Good luck, Hawks!
