Coach Ivory joined the CLS basketball program in 2025 bringing over 30 years of experience coaching and training athletes at the recreational, high school, collegiate, and professional levels. A Charlotte native and graduate of North Mecklenburg High School, he played basketball at Penn State University, earning All-Big Ten and Defensive Player of the Year honors and helping the team reach the Sweet 16 in the 2001 NCAA Tournament. After college, he played professionally in Europe for 11 years, winning national championships in Germany and Belgium. His coaching career includes roles at Hickory Grove Christian, West Charlotte High School, and Queens University. Coach Ivory holds a degree in Kinesiology from Penn State and works as an Athletic Coordinator. He and his wife, Nicole, live in Charlotte with their four children and their youngest, Norrie (class of 2032), is at Latin.
