Coach Mills is a Charlotte Latin alumnus from the Class of 2001 who has returned to the Hawks’ football program with a deep background in collegiate athletics and coaching. A former team captain at Latin, he helped lead the school to a state championship before playing four years of football at Penn State, where he won a Big Ten Championship. He later coached wide receivers under Joe Paterno at Penn State and spent two seasons at Temple University coaching outside linebackers and special teams under Al Golden, contributing to a MAC Championship. In addition to football, Marcus has experience managing and coaching a professional track club. He holds a B.S. in Economics from Penn State and works as a management consultant. Marcus and his wife, Briana, have three children Eden, Addison, and Marcus.
