Coach Stokes joined Charlotte Latin in 2022 as an assistant coach for middle school girls’ tennis and now supports the varsity girls’ program. A top 25 USTA junior player in Maryland, he played varsity tennis at The Asheville School, earning All-Conference honors and contributing to two conference titles before switching to collegiate football. He coached amateur tennis in Maryland for ten years and led Bowling Brook Prep Academy’s varsity boys’ basketball team to its first 20-win season. Coach Stokes holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Guilford College and is completing a master’s degree at Queens University. He is the founding director of Academic Transition and Student Success at Latin and lives with his fiancée, Kendra, and their son, JP.
