Charlotte Latin School

John Grosse joined the Latin staff in 2022 as the new head coach of the JV boys' lacrosse team and joined the faculty in 2023 as a Lower School physical education teacher. He relocated from Long Island, NY, to Wesley Chapel with his wife and two sons. Coach Grosse has a bachelor's degree in education from SUNY Cortland, and a master's degree in sports administration from Canisius College. He has also served as an assistant coach for Middle School basketball, varsity swimming, and varsity girls' golf. The Charlotte Latin Booster Club selected him as the JV Coach of the Year at the 2026 Hawkspy Awards.
