Stacy Mercer began teaching Upper School math at Latin in 2019 and joined the cross country coaching staff in 2021, adding track & field support to her duties in the spring of 2024. An accomplished athlete, Mercer was an All-State high school competitor in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. She began competing in triathlons in 2018 and has qualified for four Wold Championship races in the Ironman and Ironman 70.3. Coach Mercer is a graduate of the University of Virginia and earned a Masters of Education from UVa in 2023. She and her husband, Jason, have two children at Charlotte Latin.
