2024 Season Summary
By Coach Peters
The varsity volleyball team built off of their successful season last year and finished this year with an 18-6 record and another top 5 finish in the NCISAA. They started their season setting their goals and had them as their priority all year showing up day in and day out ready to work hard to continue improving. The team had a focus this season with being “Relentless” throughout all of their practices, games and preparation and it showed through their success as a team. Captain libero Alison Archibald led the way with her strong defensive presence on the court and hitting the 1,000 dig milestone early in the season. Alison led the state in digs for the second year in a row and received 1st team All-Conference and All-State Recognition. Junior captain Allie Haynie also received 1st team All-Conference honors and led the CISAA in kills as a 6 rotation outside hitter. Sophomore Ava Nadeau made an impact on the court this season and was recognized as 2nd Team All-Conference. The varsity volleyball team is proud of how they represented themselves throughout the season and are ready to get back into the gym to continue improving on their success! GO HAWKS!

2023 Season Summary
Varsity Volleyball finished a great season with a 13-11 record and a final finish of 5th in the NCISAA 4A Tournament. This team had an amazing season making huge improvements every single day and ending 3rd in the conference with a second half conference 4-1 record. The highlight match of the season was during the second round of playoffs, on the road at Rabun Gap, where the Hawks took down the Eagles in a 5-set thriller in front of a rowdy crowd. Senior Ashley Malone was named to 1st team All-Conference and the All-State Team with 402 kills throughout the season. Ashley led the conference and was top 3 in the state for kills and top ten hitting percentage in the state. Senior Serena Hu was also named to All-Conference 2nd Team for an incredible setting season with 538 assists. Both seniors hit career milestones this year with Serena surpassing 1,000 assists and Ashley exceeding 750 kills. Junior Alison Archibald was named 1st Team All-Conference as she led the way with 380 digs as the Libero. Sophomore Allie Haynie also made 2nd Team All-Conference as a first year varsity outside hitter. The Varsity Volleyball team has a lot to feel proud about for the season and look to build off of it going into next year. Go Hawks!

2022 Season Summary
The Varsity Volleyball team finished their season with an 11-15 record improving incredibly from last season. This team was very young with only one senior and competed throughout every single match. Our senior, Lilly Clark, led the team in blocks with a total of 37 and a hitting percentage of .285. The team was also led by junior Ashley Malone, who was recognized as an All-State and All-Conference 1st Team player leading the way on offense with 341 kills, averaging 4.1 kills/set. We are very proud of this team for the hard work throughout the entire season with a tough conference schedule and how they always stepped up to the challenge. This season showed us all that Hawks volleyball has a bright future ahead!

2021 Season Summary
The Varsity Girls Volleyball team finished the season with their heads held high and excited for the future. This team had one overarching goal: to be 'All In' throughout every single day. They left everything out on the court during every single match and played as a family through all of the challenges. This team was filled with a lot of youth and was led by incredible senior leaders Maddi Rhodes, Millie Patterson and Julie Derraik. We faced injury challenges with a senior setter sitting out for the majority of the season but sophomore Serena Hu stepped up into the new position with confidence in her teammates and brought a spirit to the court that led the team's offense. The highlight match of the season was a 5-set battle against Metrolina and the Hawks fought till the end to take the 4A WIN!

2020 Season Summary
The varsity volleyball team's season was disrupted numerous times, but the fourteen girls on the roster showed resilience and determination. Led by three seniors, the team showed great improvements throughout the fall. From Coach Haworth: "The record for this team does not show the efforts they put in day in and day out through the adversity of the 2020 season. These girls demonstrated character and heart throughout each match they played in and put themselves in a position to compete every day. We are excited to see what this team brings to the court next year! Go Hawks!"
