2025 Season
Required Boot Camp takes place Aug. 11-12, 9:00-12:00 and Aug. 13-15 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Jami Masters School of Dance. Practice starts on August 20 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at the Latin Dance Studio. Practices take place M/W/Th Weekly & Gameday Fridays.

Fall 2023
Even though our team did not significantly grow in numbers, we were able to keep our performances strong through dedication, motivation and hard work in the dance room. Sometimes a small team works well together due to getting to know each other and therefore being cohesive which shows on the football field! We look forward to building on that foundation through the winter basketball season.
Fall 2022
The Dance Team kicked off the season with an intensive at Jami Masters School of Dance, led by Top Cat Zaria Fuller and former Top Cat Coach Nicole Smith. Â It was an honor and pleasure to have alum (and Broadway star) Sterling Masters Deeney back at Latin to choreograph for our team during a two-week long bootcamp. Even though our fall team was smaller than usual, the girls worked hard and their efforts and determination showed during performances on the football field. I am proud of every single one of them! We are looking forward to the winter season with a few new additions to the team.Â
Fall 2021
Sometimes you realize how precious things are when they are all of a sudden taken away from you. We experienced that during the pandemic, with the lack of practices or a football season as we used to know them. But as a result of that, the dance team couldn't have been happier to be back in the beginning of August to start our regular two weeks of bootcamp.
Some dancers had not been able to be part of the team last year, others were new, but we started the season as a cohesive group and it showed on the field! Our upperclassmen pulled everyone together, took care of our freshmen, and were organizational wizards. I could not be more proud of this amazing group of girls. They have shown improvement, dedication, and most importantly, kindness. It's an honor to be their coach.
Fall 2020
In fall of 2020, the dance team practiced and prepared, while looking for new ways to support the Hawks in a season that had limited opportunities to perform. The dancers took advantage of home soccer games, where they were able to bring energy and excitement to the half time break. Seniors Sarah Hargrave and Pheriby Bryan took on new roles as choreographers, and they were celebrated during the senior recognition at halftime of the home football game on October 23rd. The dance team also performed at the Prism Concert, which allowed the dancers to showcase different styles and techniques in smaller groups.
In fall of 2019, the varsity dance team collaborated with the new varsity cheer squad and the results were fantastic. The teams choreographed the fight song together and supported one another in their separate efforts to provide excitement and energy to the Latin community. The seniors were celebrated at halftime of the varsity football game against Country Day on Friday, October 25th. For the 2019-2020 season, the Varsity Dance team had seven dancers named All-Conference.
