The Hawks earned the #8 seed in the NCISAA state tournament and a bye in the first round. As the higher seed, CLS hosted Covenant Day in the 2nd round defeating the Lions 71-64. In the quarterfinals, the Hawks traveled to top-seeded Carmel Christian. In front of a sold-out crowd the two teams battled with the Cougars prevailing 65-50. Senior Ned Hull led the team in scoring, averaging 22.5 ppg to earn All-State and 1st team All-Conference recognition. Senior Sean Rose averaged 15 ppg and 9 rebounds for the Hawks. Our seven seniors carried on the tradition of Charlotte Latin Basketball and will be missed.

2021 - 2022 Season Summary
The varsity boys' basketball team finished with their best record in over 15 years (23-4). A second place finish in Atlanta at the St. Pius X Christmas Classic was one of many highlights of the season. The Hawks lost in the championship game of the tourney to Christian Brothers (TN) in a thrilling, triple OT game. Christian Brothers finished their season 28-0 and ranked #16 in the nation, according to MaxPreps. The Hawks' near perfect regular season earned them the #4 seed for the NCISAA Tournament and a bye for the first two rounds of play. As the higher seed, Charlotte Latin hosted Covenant Day in the quarterfinal and defeated the Lions 58-43. Next up, the Hawks faced top-seeded Carmel Christian in the semifinal, in front of an electric sold-out crowd. Unfortunately, after a few lead changes late in the fourth, Carmel Christian pulled away at the end on the free throw line and the Hawks fell 44-54.
Junior Ned Hull led the Hawks in scoring this year, averaging 15 ppg and earning All-State and 1st Team All-Conference honors. Senior Jaylen Jones also received recognition as 2nd Team All-Conference. Our group of six seniors will be missed, as they have had the most successful run in the past 15 years.

2020 - 2021 Season Summary
The Hawks won a share of the CISAA Conference Championship for the first time since the 2007-2008 season, finishing with a 16-5 record. The Hawks entered the NCISAA tournament as the #2 seed in the West Region of the 4-A division. As the higher seed, Charlotte Latin hosted Metrolina Christian Academy and defeated the Warriors 55-44. Unfortunately, the season ended in the quarterfinal round as the Hawks lost to Cannon School 75-61. Despite the loss, senior Graham Calton scored a career high 35 points. He led the Hawks in scoring this year, averaging 20 ppg and earning All-State and 1st Team All-Conference honors. Senior Chase Montgomery also received recognition as 2nd Team All-Conference. They were part of a group of six seniors that have had one of the most successful runs of any group we have had at Latin.
