RBC Wealth Management has a long-standing relationship with Charlotte's private school football community. Employees shared a background in and appreciation for high school athletics and thought there was an opportunity to recognize players from smaller schools who are sometimes overlooked by traditional media. Their Player of the Week program was born more than a decade ago and is selected by a committee of 6-8 people who attend local games to scout the talent and evaluate stats and nominations from coaches.Â
DJ is the latest among an impressive group of Hawks previously recognized as the RBC Player of the Week, including Banks Cutter '25, Aaron Logan '23 (brother of current QB Troy Logan), Daniel Haughton '22, Charles Watson '19, DeMarkes Stradford '18, and Bates Jones '17 (brother of current Indianapolis Colts QB Daniel Jones). Congratulations DJ and go Hawks!
