The varsity wrestling team defended its Charlotte Independent School Athletic Association (CISAA) title on February 7, 2024 at Providence Day School. The starting lineup placed in the top three in all fourteen weight classes, capturing first place in six divisions, second place in two divisions, and third place in the remaining six divisions. The leading scorer for the Hawks was senior Austin Flowers, who won the 175 pound weight class and earned 24 points. Gabe Carpenter brought in 20 points with his win at 285 pounds, and Liam McConaughy (106), Christopher Rogers (113) and Grant Clark (150) each scored 18 points. 

The Mat Hawks will complete their season at the NCISAA State Wrestling Championships on February 16, 2024. The tournament will be hosted by Charlotte Country Day School with first round competition beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the final round set for 4:00 p.m.
